Key responsibility:
A) Application Knowledge and methods_
[*]Profound and up-to date knowledge on user inte**ce and application in a specific segment; including benchmark studies and products
[*]Scouts validated test&measuring techniques to support the claim building research both broadly and in-depth
B) Application Research and Specifications
[*]Scouts business propositions of light interaction on human well-being that can be commercialized, advises commercial owner on CRS; translates propositions into requirements (VoC)
[*]Definition, start-up and management of application research and concept development
[*]Performs claim building: execution of (external) field test to validate the proposition
[*]Translates user test insights into requirement specifications (VOC,URS,FRS)
[*]Initiates and gives direction to competence development (Function Owner) and process improvement projects.
C) External communications and networks
[*]Acts as Philips Lighting representative in organizations/bodies that regulates norms & standards.
[*] Communicates know-how (research evidence and insights) in reports and white **s.
[*] Represents Lighting at conferences
[*] Maintains contact with internal and external fellow experts
