Business Title: Application / Sr. Application Engineer General JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsible for managing customer’s programs through design in & application support. Assist Sales & Marketing to feature OSRAM Opto Semiconductors product and technological advantage to customers through preparation of technical and application presentation materials. Actively drive new demand creation by developing new applications, reference designs, application guides, prototypes and demos to promote to the markets and customers. Provides application support and work closely with OSRAM internal team to resolve end customer assembly process and application problem. JOB Responsibilities· Support customers to design-in OSRAM Opto Semiconductors products which involve selection of product to best meet the end application requirements, provide technical support related to optics, thermal and electronics.· Project management and planning of customer programs.· Prepare presentation materials and present to customers showing technology, product roadmap and application specific topics.· Prepare applications guides to help customer understand the design requirements of LED, optics, thermal and electronics. · Coordinate with Customers, Marketing, Engineering and Manufacturing to solve production and field problems.· Prepare training materials related to product and application for OSRAM internal and external training needs.· Develop sales tools such as application guides, demos and reference design for Sales team.· Work with OSRAM partners to provide · Develop specifications for new products in collaboration with the product development group.· Participation in industrial associations, trade groups and fairs to promote product line and for competition analysis. Job Specifications and Requirements· Degree in Physics/Optics/Electrical/Electronics Engineering · Fluent communication (oral/written) skills in English and Mandarin· Project management experience· Experience in semiconductor technology preferably LED, or IR (Infra-red)· Experience in SSL/Automotive/Industrial/Consumer & Communication application experience. · Able to work independently and remotely· Flexible on biz travel schedule (international and/or domestic travel)· Able to lead/facilitate technical and/or meetings/presentations · Team player· Strategic thinking and problem solving skills· Flexibility on tasks/assignments.
