CIE 121-1996: Integrating Sphere and Goniophotometric System
Both photometry and goniophotometry of luminaries are measuring photometric characteristics with CIE 121-1996 technical report providing general requirements such as practical test conditions, photometric methods, test procedures and so on. Now the specifications that CIE 121-1996 report outputs is providing a basis for uniform national standards. CIE 121-1996 basic photometric data from testing should consist of values of luminous intensity in different directions, thus the measurements need to involve photometric and angular measurements under electrical and temperature working conditions of the luminaries. Hereby it requires using Goniophotometer with co-ordinate system to define the direction in which the intensity measurements are made. The Goniophotometer adopts co-ordinate system that is one direction in space is characterized by two angles, to perform accurate measurements. CIE 121-1996 standard testing condition requires ambient temperature variation and air movement. Accurately, the mean ambient temperature should equal 25 +/- 1℃ throughout the test of luminaire, air movement in the vicinity of the luminaire should not exceed 0.2m-s-1. The Integrating Sphere and Goniophotometer test system provides repeated tests for a number of different positions of luminaire in the proposed lab conditions. Besides, it works with good illuminance meter in the photometry of luminaries, which consist of a built-in detachable photometer head and associated apparatus. LSG-1900 meets CIE 121-1996 standard at this point. Regarding to testing conditions, it also sets requirements of other lab equipments, such as electrical power supply, electrical measuring instrument and lamp. Measurement should not begin until the luminaire have stabilized photometrically. CIE 121-1996 photometric method and procedures consist of luminous intensity distribution measurements, luminous flux measurements, luminance measurements and illuminance measurements by Goniophotometer and photometry testing system with integrating sphere. LISUN GROUP launches her new product as a solution to photometry test according to CIE126-1996: LSG-1900 Integrating Sphere and Goniophotometric System. LSG-1900 can achieve the measurement of colorimetric parameters, that is, spatial distribution of different angles of the relative spectral such as power distribution, chromaticity coordinates, dominant wavelength, peak wavelength, spectral purity, color temperature, color rendering index and other parameters, thus it get uneven index of color spatial distribution. The entire test results are finished automatically by computer. The measured data meets the requirements of CIE126-1996 for the electrical and photometric measurement of solid-state lighting products. About LISUN GROUP: it is lead in CFL and LED test instruments, main products are EMC Test System, Electronic Ballast Tester, Magnetic Material Analyzer, Spectrophotocolorimeter, Goniophotometer, Safety Tester for lighting fixtures, LED Testing and CFL test instruments.
