        世界光源的一场革命--的诞生，作为新型高效固体光源，半导体照明具有长寿命、节能环保、色彩丰富、微型化等优点，将成为人类照明史上的又一次飞跃。近年中国“十一五”设立了“半导体照明工程”重大项目、日本“21世纪光计划”、美国“下一代照明计划”、欧盟“彩虹计划”、韩国“GaN半导体发光计划”等政府计划纷纷出台。面对半导体照明的巨大商机和发展前景，世界各国纷纷加紧立法，鼓励使用节能型光源。欧盟、加拿大、澳大利亚和美国等分别将从2009、2010和2020年开始禁用白炽灯泡。有关数据显示，2008年全球的应用市场将从2004年的125亿美元提高到500亿美元，全球半导体照明预计3-5年将突破1000亿美元。

        As the new effective solid light source, the birth of the semiconductor lighting, a revolution in the global light source, will be another leap in the human lighting history, with the advantages of long lifespan, energy conservation, multiple color choice, and low miniaturization.

        In recent years, the Government have introduced many lighting rated projects, such as China” Eleventh Five", "semiconductor lighting major project"、”the 21th century project ”of Japan、”next generation lighting plan”of the USA、”Rainbow plan” of EU、”GaN shine semiconductor plan” of Korea etc. Facing to the huge business opportunities and development perspectives of semiconductor lighting，each country has step up the legislative regulations one after another to encourage the use of energy-saving light source. EU、Canada、Australia and USA, will begin to ban incandescent bulbs from 2009,2010 and 2020 respectively. According to related data, the market Applications of the global LED market in 2008 will grow from $12.5 billion in 2004 to $50 billion in three to five years, and the overall profit of the global semiconductor lighting is expected exceed $100 billion.

        根据Strategies Unlimited统计，未来五年内的发展呈指数型增长趋势。据估计，至2011年，其产值将高达数百亿美元。尤其是2009年欧盟率先实施禁用白炽灯计划，以及节能议题持续发烧的推动，都给LED室内照明巨大的市场机遇和乐观的前景。从美国的半导体照明计划路线图可以知道，在2007年逐步进入通用照明市场，到2010年部分白光LED将取代荧光灯，进入到包括家居照明的主市场中。我国在半导体照明应用市场方面已经超过美国，相信在2010年会在家居照明中占据较大的市场份额。
