LED illuminated ‘holey chairs’ by takeshi miyakwa
the ‘holey chair’ is a LED light fixture constructed from white acrylic in the shape of a chair frame. Japanese designer takeshi miyakawa exhibited his ‘holey chair’. ‘asia now’ exhibition held at dwell on design in Los angeles in June 2010. LEDs embedded within illuminate the form. it can be placed on the floor or installed on the wall. takeshi miyakawa installation a ‘holey chair’ on a lamp post an illuminated ‘holey chair’ hanging from the street infrastructure. graphics which illustrated the current production of art, architecture and design in japan. various image panels covered the wall of the Japanese. available in two sizes: a larger version (14″ x 16″ x 28″) and smaller version (10 3/4″ x 12″ x 21″).
