R&D Engineer for LED retrofit Lamp Development (Shenzhen)
Job Description:
- Develop new LED Lamps
- Support the industrialization of LED Lamps at the supplier's production
- Work with manufacturer for production process setup and verify production tooling, machine
- Monitor the new product development process
- Develop products in line with IEC/EN standards and with company internal quality and performance standards and guidelines
- Ensure project time scheduling using Company project tools
- Work on cost effective solutions
- Support design and construction of tools for specific mechanical parts
- Perform thermal calculations and/or simulations if required
- Collaborate with the component group to prepare component specifications
- Prepare product documentation and test procedures
- Test engineering and pilot production samples
- Prepare test reports
- Support the QC department to set up quality control process
- Support approvals at test institutions
- Support production in case of quality or part delivery problems
- Support production by selecting test equipment and by the correlation of measurements
- Observe safety rules in the working environment
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor, preferably Master of Engineering in Mechanics or similar
- Min. 3 years experience with LED applications in lighting
- Min. 3 years experience in mechanical design
- Knowledge in project management
- Knowledge in light source related technologies or general lighting applications
- Preferable with optical/thermal design experience
- Communication and teamwork
