Parabola Paradiso is an experimental lighting collection that utilizes an unusual material blend and process to form captivating, sculptural objects. Hand-woven carbon fiber strings were weighted and hung to form the parabolic and straight line shapes before being hardened in place. Floor mounted pieces with arc structures feature taut lines that extend uniformly. The pendant alternative with straight structures form beams that appear to curve in air. The result is an elegant interplay between gravity and light that moves and changes with the viewer’s position.
