Profana
According to Giorgio Agamben, to profane is to bring into the human realm that which was only devoted to the gods. This discussion about inversion is the point of departure for Profana, an illumination piece that results from a contemporary rereading of the Brazilian Colonial apparatus, from the order of blurring and from mestizoness.Designed according to a delicate balance, it intends to cause a disruption to Latin American discourses on architecture and religious syncretism, and notes the existence of the cultural drama still in transformation.
Profana com Argola
Profana com Argola proposes to establish a look at the series and the repetition of artefacts. The piece contains the formal and discursive elements of Profana, retreated from an immobile starting point.Profana com Argola results in a demanding topology, marked by the injunction of limits – between the stem and the architectural space, between the ring and the structure. It is at the vertex of potential encounters that the piece intends to materialize what is, fundamentally, intersectional: between the functional and the cultural, between the disciplines and the bodies, between the sacred and the profane.
