he New South Wales Regulators recently added LED tubes to the declaring definitions and they will be mandatory for certification from 29 January 2018.

As part of the transition process you will need to upgrade your current certificate to a Certificate of Approval before the 29th January 2018, or Australia Certification Body will have to cancel the Certificate.

As your approval has already been tested to AS/NZS 60598.1:2013 and AS/NZS 60598.2.1:2014, you will need to have Amendment 1 of AS/NZS 60598.2.1 assessed and added to your test report and apply modification of original Australia SAA Certificate.

You will be issued with a new Certificate of Approval for the equipment with the same approval number but in the format SAA-XXXXXX-EA in lieu of SAAXXXXXX.
完成产品的标准更新检测后，申请证书变更申请一周内将发行一份全新的证书。6位数的认证编号将保持不变，但是认证证书号格式将进行变更。例如：认证证书号将从原先的SAAXXXXXX变更成为SAA-XXXXXX-EA。
The current Certificate of Suitability ("non declared/level 1") can be converted to a Certificate of Compliance ("declared/level3")
We will treat this as a technical modification and convert the Certificate of Suitability to a Certificate of Conformity.
The current standard is AS/NZS 60598.2.1:2014 + A1
So if the certificate was issued prior to A1 then a report to demonstrate compliance to A1 will be required otherwise we can proceed without a report.
